Being creative is something that I not only like to do but it's something that I need to do. My creativity stems from all sorts of things but I think it mainly gives me an outlet in an often cluttered, stressful, anxiety-ridden world. JAECI sent me a couple of pieces but I really connected with this one because of the message behind it.
JAECI stands for "Journey.Aim.Experience.Create.Inspire." and I really like a lot of the pieces on their website - go check them out HERE.
I think as millennials, most of us are naturally creative but we often suppress our creativity when it comes to the "real world" because we can't make a living off of it. I challenge that notion, though. I think that being creative is the reason most of us are good at our jobs - a lot of older people tell us that we are so focused on appearance or that we focus too much on social media but those are some of the only outlets we have to be creative on. Maybe if we had an outlet in our work lives that we could be creative with, we'd care less about our Instagram profiles or if our outfits look good?
I DIGRESS - being creative is something that JAECI promotes and is one of the main reasons I wanted to partner with them - they have some extremely fun, creative pieces in their most recent collections and you'll be seeing me post on my Instagram with a lot of them in the future. I've never been much of a jewelry person but maybe that's because I've never had jewelry or accessories that are as fun as some of these pieces. Check out my necklace that I'm wearing HERE, it represents creating and comes from the ancient hieroglyphic that means to do just that, CREATE!
Check out some more pics of this outfit and my new "CREATE" necklace below.
I paired my necklace here with my favorite jacket from Primark, a cute T-shirt from Hollister (ya i know Hollister is very 2007 but some of their new stuff is actually really cute!) and my new Calvin Klein jean hat that my friend Erica got me for my birthday back in January.
Make sure you guys stay tuned to my blog and Instagram page to get a look at some of the other fun pieces JAECI sent my way!
*A HUGE thank you to JAECI for sponsoring this post. As always - the opinions of this blog are my own and I will never work with brands that I do not truly believe in and support.*
